It is a new age, and in this new age, many people call out for new forms of spirituality.

“Spiritual, not religious,” they decry.

Their old religion fails to move, feels stifling, stuffy sometimes.

They long to feel more than they feel on Sunday mornings, or they long for the Sunday morning feeling all week long.

They find that religious feeling in loving or serving or dreaming; they see the face of God in a child or a friend or their family;

they express their spirituality when they are silent or daring or joyful,

they feel inside the church when outside in nature in all her glory.

In sum, they know there are 110 ways and more to connect with their spiritual nature.

In short, they are Thinking Outside the Church.
